client’s internal world, specifically how patterns of thinking, feeling, sensing/moving, and behaving all connect, incorporating my knowledge of neuroscience and interpersonal neurobiology into the process. I am highly relational so I look at our therapeutic relationship as a microcosm or a laboratory, and see how we can use it to improve my client’s relationship with life. I attend with great care to your connections to the people in your life, and to the wider society. I consider even your place in the larger sociopolitical, economic, generational and environmental layers so I have the fullest understanding of your experience and always a fresh perspective. Staying open yet focused, we together can help you further integrate all aspects of your life for maximal resilience and peace.
Context matters, and I view you as a unique and dynamic convergence within a wondrous universe. Let’s together discover what’s true for you now, and expand your ability to live well with it. I honor the transformative power within you and within our therapeutic relationship. I hope to serve you well in your journey.
I am a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri. I benefit from the supervision-mentorship of Jamie Linsin, Psy.D. (license # 2002021880 MO), a wise therapist whom I chose for his compatible approach and his sincere dedication to ethical care. I hold a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL), ranked second in the nation of all counselor education programs. I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Webster University, and an Associate degree in Language Arts with a focus in Fine Arts from St. Louis Community College. I have previous mental health and counseling experience in a variety of settings, including community mental health, substance-abuse treatment, universities, women’s reproductive health, and psychiatric care/rehabilitation.
More personally, I enjoy spending time with the love of my life and with our two furbaby pit bulls. Meditation has made a world of difference in my life, and Star Trek has a special place in my heart. I also love art, writing, and dancing.
